Traditional courts take 344 days on average. Cost $100,000 minimum. Don't enforce across borders. And AI agents can't access them at all. As machine intelligence spreads, the gap between what AI can do and what the law can enforce is starting to threaten global commerce.
GenLayer is building the alternative. A decentralised digital court where AI consensus resolves disputes in seconds. Intelligent Contracts interpret natural language, pull real-time data, and make subjective decisions autonomously. No lawyers. No oracles. Just programmable trust.
The brief was as heavy as the technology. GenLayer isn't iterating on an existing category, it's proposing a new primitive, the missing piece that lets AI agents and humans transact under the same transparent rules. My job was to give that ambition a brand that founders, investors, and everyday users could grasp at a glance.
The identity had to do two things at once. Signal legitimacy, because a project asking the world to rethink how trust works can't feel speculative. And feel genuinely new, because what it represents actually is. The mark came out of a simple image: hands holding data. GenLayer upholds the truth the way hands hold something valuable, deliberately, openly, with care. That idea carries across the logo, the website, and the 3D assets that extend the system.
Work at this scale needed more than one pair of hands. I led a team of 3D designers, Webflow developers, and copywriters through the build, keeping the creative direction coherent and the deadlines honest. What shipped isn't one person's craft, it's a system built to travel, across product, pitch, and press.
